Connecting Bank Accounts

Connect your bank accounts to Wesley AI to automatically import and categorize your transactions. We support thousands of financial institutions through our secure Plaid integration.

How to Set Up Integrations

  1. Go to Integrations and click “Connect Account”
  2. You'll be redirected to Plaid's secure interface
  3. Search for your bank or credit union
  4. Select your institution from the results
  5. Use your online banking credentials (secured through Plaid with bank-level encryption)
  6. Choose which accounts to sync (checking, savings, credit cards)

Account Information

Once connected, Wesley AI automatically syncs:

Account Details - Name, type, institution Current Balance - Updated during each sync Transaction History - Typically 2+ years of data Account Status - Active, closed, or error states

Multiple Accounts

You can connect unlimited accounts:

Business Accounts - Separate business and personal finances Multiple Institutions - Connect accounts from different banks Various Account Types - Mix checking, savings, credit cards, etc.

Troubleshooting Connection Issues

Problem: Login fails or credentials rejected

Solutions:

  • Verify username/password by logging into your bank directly
  • Check if your bank requires app-specific passwords
  • Ensure two-factor authentication is set up correctly
  • Try connecting during your bank's business hours

Error Messages:

  • "Invalid credentials" - Double-check login information
  • "Account locked" - Contact your bank to unlock online access
  • "Multiple security challenges" - Complete all required security steps

Disconnecting Accounts

To remove a connected account:

  1. Go to Integration
  2. Find the account you want to disconnect
  3. Click the disconnect icon
  4. Confirm the action
  5. No new transactions will sync
