Use this guide when a client workflow spans files, client work, communications, and the client portal.
Start With Files In The Firm Workspace
Use Shared Files to find, request, or organize supporting documents from the firm side.

Understand The Client Upload View
When the client opens the portal, they use Documents to select files and send them back to the firm. Use this view when explaining exactly what the client should press.

Track Work Items In The Firm Workspace
Use Client Work to track open requests and questions from the firm side.

Understand The Client Reply View
When the client opens Work in the portal, they can read the request, review linked context, type a reply, attach files, and send it back.

Review Communication History
Use Communications when the answer may already be in an email or sent request.

Check Before You Leave
The client context should be linked back to the accounting workflow it supports, and the client should know whether to upload a file, answer a Work request, ask about a transaction, connect an integration, or review a report.
